Our Cottage Industry

The winter growing of Scented Narcissi on the Isles of Scilly is one of the last thriving cottage industries in the country. Because of the warm climate on the islands, narcissi come through much earlier than they do on the mainland – making them available for such seasonal points as Christmas, Valentine’s and Mother’s Day.

Grown naturally in the open air and shipped just 28 miles to the mainland, they are one of the few flowers grown commercially that have a scent.
